BIMATOX // IGEM

As part of the Uchile Biotec Team, we participated in the International Genetically Engineered Machine competition (iGEM), introducing our project Bimtaox.
DEVICE DESIGN

Bimatox is a device designed for a quicker and cheaper detection of the marine toxin associated with the Red Tide.
In November 2017 we presented our project in Boston, US.

Product design: Sketching and 3D modeling.
The device is a paper matrix, made of a DNAzyme connected with a linker to an Aptmer, wich is contained in a  3D printed-eco-friendly case.
User centered design: We made a research by visiting our users, the Chiloé's fishermen.
